Budget Roofers runs 24-hour emergency response across our entire Lower Mainland service area. Most calls get a same-day site visit in shoulder season and next-day in summer peak. Emergency tarp install runs $250-$550, stops active water entry within hours, and buys time for a proper repair or replacement quote. Insurance claim documentation included on request.
Active interior water entry from a roof leak. Fallen tree limb that has punctured the roof or pulled away flashings. Storm-driven shingle blow-off exposing underlayment. Skylight glass failure. Step 1 — phone triage. We ask about the location of the leak, the suspected failure point, and the urgency. Step 2 — same-day or next-day dispatch with a tarp truck. Step 3 — emergency tarp install over the failure point with proper anchoring (not just a tarp draped on top — we secure it to last). Step 4 — interior moisture documentation for insurance if needed. Step 5 — proper diagnostic and repair-or-replace quote within 48 hours.
We document storm and impact damage with date-stamped photos, written damage assessment, and itemized scope of work suitable for insurance adjuster review. Most BC insurers (BCAA, ICBC for vehicle-impact-to-house claims, Intact, Aviva, Co-operators, Wawanesa) accept our documentation. We do not do insurance fraud or inflated claims — we document what's actually broken, at fair-market repair cost.
